When the kitchen is busy, it’s easy to lose track of which orders have been started and which are still waiting. Tap to Start simplifies this by allowing staff to mark orders as started with a simple tap, helping the entire team stay on the same page.

With this feature enabled, all new orders will display in a "New" state on the KDS screen. When you're ready to begin working on an order, just tap anywhere on the order card, and it will be marked as started. If your kitchen has multiple KDS stations, this status update will sync across all screens, ensuring everyone knows which orders are in progress.

How to Enable Tap to Start

  1. Go to Settings in Fresh KDS.
  2. Navigate to Order Behavior settings.
